Strangers. Nobody answers. (looks up, wet eyes) You know what I think now? I think he saw what I was about to become and felt sorry for me. (quiet) Because I climbed back in. Again. And again. Forty-three confirmed kills. Forty-three smiles I invented because I can't remember their faces anymore. (stands slowly) Yeah. Tell the colonel I'll fly. (whispers) What's one more ghost."

(slams cup) So you came here for a blessing. For old Kuro to send you off proud. (stands, fierce) HERE'S MY BLESSING! KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN! TRUST NO MEDAL! AND IF YOU MUST DIE, MAKE IT MEAN SOMETHING THE GENERALS CAN'T STEAL! (softer) Now go."
